Job summary

POSITRONIC INDUSTRIES is seeking a Lathe Operator to run one or more single spindle horizontal screw machines, performing boring, threading and facing on metal parts. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Training pairs operators with a dedicated trainer for hands-on learning. Responsibilities include machine setup, feeding stock, monitoring runs, and inspecting first-run parts to sustain quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing, machining, mechanical, technical, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC certification program.

Responsibilities

• Set up screw machines with required tools, stock, and adjustments.
• Feed raw material into machines and control stock length.
• Start machines and monitor production runs to ensure proper function.
• Inspect first-run parts and adjust machines to maintain quality.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify part conformance.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with the EHS and Quality departments to meet standards.
