Positronic Industries, Inc. is seeking a First Shift PTM Operator to set up and operate precision transfer machines, producing high-quality parts on a fast-paced shop floor.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, adherence to AS9100/OSHA standards, and precise measurement using gauges. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of related experience, with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Experience with precision transfer machines and manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete changeovers for machines to transition to new parts.
• Studies blueprints and layout sheets to determine machining to be done, dimensions of parts permissible tolerances, and plans sequence of operations.
• Selects cutting speeds, feed rates, depth of cuts and cutting tools to be used, based on experience and knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics, or by referring to tables, charts, or instructions on layout sheets.
• Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
