Job summary

UC Health is hiring a Full Time Occupational Therapist for the first shift at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. The OT will evaluate, plan, and implement Occupational Therapy treatment programs for referred patients, following hospital and department policies.

The role requires an OT license in Ohio, NBCOT certification, and nonviolent crisis intervention certification (renewed every two years). Experience in a mental health setting is preferred; new graduates may be considered.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an AOTA-accredited program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral).
• Ohio OT license and NBCOT certification are required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required following hire and every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement OT treatment programs for referred patients.
• Follow hospital/department policies on documentation and education.
• Work in Psychiatry Services, integrating sensory and trauma-informed approaches.
• Lead and participate in therapy sessions, individual or group, with measurable goals.
• Document timely and in accordance with regulations; ensure safety and risk management.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
