Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Supervisor in Mebane, NC to lead daily LV switchgear production operations. You will ensure safe, high-quality, on-time execution of schedules while guiding a team and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of SAP, and strong problem-solving skills to maintain efficiency and meet delivery commitments. Onsite work at 6801 Industrial Drive, Mebane, NC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, inventory control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience coordinating production schedules, workforce allocation, and prioritization to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Experience using SAP for production reporting and inventory transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares annual production budget and monitors progress against budget.
• Develops team, projects, goals, and metrics to maximize operational performance.
• Identifies and implements plans to reduce non-value-added costs, improve yield, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborates with Operational Excellence to apply lean manufacturing principles.
• Ensures capacity efficiency and recovery plans when gaps arise.
• Leads by example, fostering lean leadership and accountability.
