Job summary

Siemens Knightdale manufacturing site seeks a 1st Shift Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations, drive safety and quality, and partner cross‑functionally. You will manage KPIs and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement in a startup‑style environment.

You will guide frontline talent development, optimize capacity, and collaborate with Engineering, Scheduling, Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality to meet business objectives in Knightdale, NC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Managerial understanding of critical success factors in manufacturing operations.
• Lean manufacturing experience and process improvement focus.
• Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce.com scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production operations to exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 6S, waste elimination, cycle time reduction, and process optimization.
• Plan and direct capital investments and resource allocation to improve productivity and inventory.
• Develop and engage talent, foster accountability, and build leadership capability.
