Job summary

AGRANA Fruit is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift in Baldwinsville, NY. You will oversee shift staff, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and drive adherence to GMP and HACCP standards.

The role requires minimum two years of supervisory experience in food or related industries, plus strong leadership and communication skills. Competitive benefits and a collaborative, employee-focused culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years supervisory experience in the food industry, pharmaceutical, or other like industry.
• Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Quality Testing and Safety Concerns, and SAP operating systems
• Previous experience managing sanitation activities and understanding of sanitation cleaning process required.
• Strong computer skills proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective Communicator and Delegator
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional team skills
• Knowledge of SAP operating systems a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills focusing on Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and “5 Why” analysis.
• Willingness to work Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of shift staff, organizing and monitoring work processes
• Responsible for onboarding and training of shift employees
• Coaching, counseling and support of development plans for career growth of staff
• Management of Performance process
• Enforces policies and procedures and when needed, manages disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans to meet operating standards
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment, placing Safety first.
• Executes operational objectives to ensure shift meets safety, quality and productivity standards.
