Hanover Foods Corporation in Hanover, PA, seeks a hands-on First Shift Production Supervisor to oversee our canning facility. You will lead production staff, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations on the production floor.

You will monitor quality, manage staffing and training, work with Quality Assurance, and drive continuous improvement while adhering to GMPs, HACCP, and plant safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in production or a related manufacturing role.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and direct staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound operational decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn internal systems.
• Willingness to work First Shift, including weekends or extended hours as needed.

Aufgaben

• Supervise daily production employees, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Plan production activities based on schedules, demand, material availability, and inventory.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and operating performance; address issues.
• Promote a safe work environment through training and enforcement of safety practices.
• Ensure GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, plant safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor product quality and partner with QA to address concerns.
• Maintain clean, sanitary production areas and equipment.
• Train and develop employees; communicate responsibilities and expectations.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control, Purchasing, Shipping, QA, and others.
• Review timecard activity accurately and on time.
• Support union-related processes as applicable.
• Assist continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
