Job summary

Sauder Manufacturing Co. in Ohio seeks a Production Leader I to oversee daily production activities, ensure safety and quality, monitor team performance, and drive improvements. You will contribute to a positive work environment and support process enhancements.

You will develop daily schedules, release work orders, train staff, and collaborate with supervisors to maintain on-time delivery and efficient operations on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related manufacturing leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage production team to meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Develop daily work schedules and manage product flow.
• Release work orders in I-schedule.
• Oversee MOD work orders and their implementation.
• Train and coach new and existing team members.
• Ensure safety protocols and participate in safety investigations.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisor on product quality.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and merit increases.
• Assist with disciplinary matters and development coaching.
• Track time and attendance daily.
• Participate in interviewing and candidate selection.
• Facilitate department meetings.
• Apply lean tools knowledge (A3, 5S, PDCA, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date SOPs with Production Supervisor.
• Identify process improvements to reduce waste and costs.
• Ensure clear communication with managers and staff.
