Job summary

LEAR CORPORATION in Alabama is seeking a Production Team Member for 1st shift at the Tuscaloosa Plant. You will help ensure safety and quality standards are met while working with a team on established procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent and experience in manufacturing. You will perform duties per SWIs, participate in team meetings, and contribute to Lean and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and read details at close range.
• Able to use pneumatic tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork.
• Adhere to standard work instructions (SWI).
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S/World Class Housekeeping standards.
• Achieve operator certification per plant certification process.
• Participate in team meetings and understand performance goals and objectives.
• Help achieve team performance goals and objectives.
• Follow ISO14001/TS16949 documentation and related forms/instructions.
• Participate in self-directed work team model.
• Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in plant recycling programs.
