Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector in Gardena, CA for the first shift, part-time (20-25 hours/week, 2-3 days). You will inspect mechanical parts, read drawings, and verify conformance using GD&T and precision tools. Travel time is paid at 50% of hourly rate with mileage reimbursed.

ITAR-compliance and documentation accuracy are required. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of inspection experience, familiarity with CMMs and measurement devices, and an associate degree or

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating tolerances using hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot samples as required.
• Use inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework during inspection.
