Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Mfg, currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Painter in our Lucas Facility. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with overtime on Fridays as required. The role focuses on loading paint lines, prepping parts, and ensuring quality from prep to delivery. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with AS400 and forklift operations are a plus.

Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow inventory control procedures.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AS400 is helpful.
• Forklift license and experience handling large parts is helpful.
• Previous paint experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load Paint lines safely to its maximum capacity per the Daily Production Requirements list.
• Learn all aspects of prepping unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts safely & ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Inspecting painted parts at the unload station for any quality defects.
• Appropriately packing painted parts to ensure arrival to customer in good condition.
• Versatile employee able to learn all aspects of Paint line duties, Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling & Painting
