Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Northlake, USA, seeks an Operations Supervisor for 1st shift. You will supervise inbound and outbound activities, plan labor and space, and maintain customer communications to meet service and cost objectives.

Qualifications

Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
3 years' experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
1 year experience in a supervisory role.
Preferred: Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and plan improvements.
Effectively keeps senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues affecting the operations.
Develops systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner.
Meets client specified KPI's and complies with quality system requirements.
Participates in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and HR activities.
