Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Intermediate Welder to set up and operate welding processes, focusing on MIG welding of mild steel and contributing to Tennant product manufacturing. You will read engineering drawings, select fixtures and work procedures, and maintain quality and productivity standards on the shop floor.

The role requires 2+ years welding experience or 5+ years without a degree, and passing a welding assessment test.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree with 2+ years welding experience, or 5+ years welding without degree preferred.
• Must pass Tennant Welding Assessment Test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interpreting orders, layouts and drawings to determine fixtures and procedures.
• Perform MIG, TIG and resistance welding.
• Grind, remove spatter, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Layout and fabricate metal components to assemble structures per welding requirements.
• Manage changes/setup and troubleshoot to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Aim to meet efficiency standards within 3 months and perform multiple welding processes proficiently.
