Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree with 2+ years welding experience, or 5+ years welding without degree.
• Must pass written and hands-on Tennant Welding Assessment Test.
• Two years general sheet metal training or two years vocational training in sheet metal or related field preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist Entry Level Welders in interpreting production orders, layouts and drawings to determine use of fixtures and proper work procedures.
• Perform MIG, TIG and resistance welding.
• Grind, spatter removal and other duties as assigned.
• Layout, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble structures using welding knowledge.
• Handle changeovers/setup, troubleshooting, and adjustments to complete tasks.
• Maintain and improve efficiency within 3 months.
• Proficient in 3+ welding processes within department standards (productivity, quality, safety).
• Measure weld length, pitch and size to ensure print tolerances and minimize defects.
