Qualifications

• Must read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Certification or formal training in welding is required.
• Minimum 6 months to 2+ years of welding in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50–75 lbs.
• Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welding machines, set up equipment and manage wire feed speeds.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and fitting parts.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Inspect finished welds for cracks, flaws, or weaknesses.
• Maintain tools and perform routine maintenance on torches and machines.
