Job summary

Baxter in Round Lake, IL is seeking a Quality Lab Associate to support microbiology operations in manufacturing, testing raw materials, in-process and final products, and environmental monitoring. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to cGMP.

You will work first shift Tuesday through Saturday, training peers as needed, perform audits, prepare media, and use LIMS and lab instruments to collect data. A biology background and 0–2 years lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or equivalent.
• 0–2 years in a laboratory setting.
• Proficient in LIMS.
• Knowledge of GLP and cGMP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve production and quality.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizens) to drive efficiency.
• Communicate progress and issues with peers and management.
• Conduct biological testing on materials and products; perform sterility testing.
• Perform routine facility environmental monitoring.
• Prepare media and reagents for the lab.
• Use lab instruments and LIMS to collect data.
• Maintain data integrity and comply with SOPs and regulations.
• Will work in Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities as needed.
