Job summary

Aerotek in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to assemble mechanical components for front and rear panels, chassis, housings, cabinets, enclosures, and large assemblies, including precision electro‑mechanical equipment.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and ensure components align and fit correctly. The role may require overtime to meet production schedules and offers a contract-to-hire path.

Qualifications

• Experience performing mechanical assembly for panels, housings, enclosures and larger assemblies.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Proficient with common hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, etc.).
• Experience using power tools safely in a production environment.
• Ability to verify dimensions with measuring devices (tape measures).
• Strong attention to detail to ensure proper fit and operation.
• Follow documented assembly processes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components for front and rear panels, chassis, housings, cabinets, enclosures, and large assemblies.
• Build and assemble precision electro‑mechanical equipment with proper alignment.
• Install interconnect wiring and assemblies into enclosures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan operations.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
• Follow documented assembly processes and quality standards.
• Inspect assembled components for fit, alignment, and function.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Work overtime as required to meet production demand.
