Job summary

L&S Electric, a great place to work, seeks a Manual Machinist for first shift in Minnesota. Must read job cards, calibrate tools, and operate lathes with safety and quality in mind. Training from entry level is available; overtime and weekend on-call may be required. Benefits include health coverage and 401(k).

Candidate should be hands-on, organized, and able to work independently or with the team to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic math; reading job cards.
• Ability to calibrate and operate precision measurement equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Prefer welding experience and an associate degree in tooling or machining.

Responsibilities

• Performs all machining on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Provides detailed drawings and uses quality standards and procedures.
• Assist supervisor in determining best machining methods and safety practices.
• Maintain equipment and perform daily/weekly inspections.
• Mentor lower crafts personnel and support other shop departments as needed.
