Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance to lead a team of hourly staff in a highly automated environment. You will hire and train maintenance personnel, organize schedules, supervise day-to-day operations, and develop maintenance procedures to keep equipment running safely and on time.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance leadership experience, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a leadership position in maintenance.
• At least five years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Experience with metal fabrication, powder coating, and conveyors.
• Strong supervisory and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Hires and trains maintenance staff.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs.
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and on time.
• Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of repairs.
