Job summary

Thyssenkrupp is seeking a Material Handler on the 1st shift. You will operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment on the warehouse floor in a union environment. The role requires a safety-minded approach and adherence to setup notes and work orders.

Certification in material handler duties is required, as is the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, read and write, and perform basic math. Pre-employment drug testing may apply in accordance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in the material handler position.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Basic math skills required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment per work order specifications.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per instructions.
• Assist in packaging material per work instructions and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general clean-up.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Train others when required.
• Support lean and quality initiatives.
