Job summary

GOJO Industries in Wooster, OH is seeking a Machine Operator I for First Shift on-site. You will tend line machinery, load components, run changeovers, and assist with quality checks while following cGMP and safety procedures.

The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs, operate control panels and printers, and support maintenance during changeovers. Training is provided on the job; this position is 100% on-site.

Qualifications

• Proficiency will be obtained through on-the-job training.
• Requires previous mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of testing equipment and ability to operate this equipment.
• Ability to train others through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Meet the daily production schedule.
• Perform minor operation and changeover procedures and assist maintenance on major changeovers.
• Verify availability of required components and supplies at the station.
• Retrieve components for production orders from staging area or Kanban.
• Load equipment with production components (caps, bottles, film, pumps, labels).
• Reconcile and return remaining components to the locator after runs.
• Assist Production Leader with quality checks (weight, torque, visual, counts).
• Maintain line and equipment housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Maintain machine logs and audit-related records.
• Start/stop machines and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Operate machine control panels and touch screens; monitor system errors.
• Assist with changeovers and equipment upkeep, set up printers, and box surplus components.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and report abnormalities to leadership.
