Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Machine Operator for a 1st shift in Kent, OH. You will operate production machinery to manufacture bearing components and conveyor parts, perform precise quality checks, and assist with routine maintenance in a hands-on environment.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, comfort with hand and power tools, and strict adherence to safety policies on a fully onsite facility. Forklift operation is included as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude for working with industrial machinery.
• Ability to read measurements using tape measures, gauges and calipers.
• Comfort with hand and power tools on a manufacturing floor.
• Ability to operate production machines safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail in quality checks.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to fabricate bearing pieces and conveyor parts.
• Set up and adjust machines to ensure proper operation and quality.
• Perform quality checks with gauges, calipers and tape measures on finished parts.
• Identify and report equipment or product issues to maintain quality and safety.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and upkeep on equipment.
• Use hand and power tools as needed during operation and maintenance.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
• Operate materials and parts, including forklift operation when required.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and maintain workflow.
