Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Canton, OH. The role runs Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM, with ~50 hours weekly and onsite work. The position offers a competitive hourly pay and a path to a contract-to-hire arrangement.

You will set up, tear down, and change over machines, read blueprints, select dies and punches, and ensure quality throughout the run while following safety and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience operating Brake Press, CNC, plasma cutting, or turret/punch presses.
• Experience with steel, stainless, and sheet metal.
• Ability to perform own setups, teardowns, and changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and changeover machines.
• Change dies and punches.
• Maintain quality throughout the run.
• Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units.
• Use blueprints to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance.
• Interpret mechanical drawings to determine appropriate dies or punches.
• Perform safety and housekeeping duties.
• Complete other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
