Job summary

Airlite Plastics is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Supervisor to lead the injection department's daily operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally to meet production targets and KPIs.

You will provide technical leadership to molding staff, coordinate maintenance and process improvements, drive safety and quality, and collaborate across teams to optimize throughput, reduce scrap, and improve OEE while upholding our core values.

Qualifications

• Experience in the technical management of plastics manufacturing or related industry with proven leadership and departmental management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in manufacturing/management beneficial.
• Training or knowledge in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide management leadership to the injection molding team.
• Triage daily molding area and deploy resources as needed.
• Supervise molding operations to meet quality, safety, and efficiency KPIs.
• Coordinate mold improvements: reduce cycle time, recover cavitation, reduce scrap, improve OEE.
• Oversee installation/testing of new molding equipment and tooling; manage mold rebuilds/repairs.
• Report hazards; ensure safety standards; respond to emergencies.
• Develop or revise SOPs to ensure standards compliance; investigate production issues.
• Act as liaison for departmental escalations and process improvements.
• Support company core values and participate in audits.
