Job summary

Permian Plastics, LLC is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead a team, manage daily manufacturing operations, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

You will develop employees, communicate expectations, solve problems, and take ownership of your shift, ensuring quality and on-time production. This role requires injection molding knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate staffing and priorities in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding.
• Previous manufacturing supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of injection molding machines, production processes and safety.
• Ability to coordinate multiple production priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 2nd shift, including overtime as operational needs require.
• Forklift training/certification and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction, expectations, and accountability for employees across your shift.
• Coach, train, and develop employees to improve performance, skills, and teamwork.
• Address performance and behavioral concerns promptly, fairly, and professionally.
• Build a positive, respectful work environment where employees understand their responsibilities.

• Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production priorities to meet daily goals.
• Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Work closely with Process Technicians, Quality, Material Handlers, and other support personnel to resolve production issues.
• Ensure proper materials, packaging, labeling, and production procedures are followed.
• Identify problems, make informed decisions, and elevate technical or operational concerns when necessary.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate important information between shifts.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices and company policies.
• Ensure employees follow established procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and strengthen team performance.
• Take responsibility for the results of your shift — including the people, processes, and production outcomes.
