Job summary

AKG of America, Inc. in Mitchell, SD is seeking an HHP Assembler to locate, retrieve, and assemble large units using work orders and 3D models. You will move finished units with cranes and forklifts and prepare them for shipping while meeting AKG quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in manufacturing with assembly experience, can read blueprints and 3D models, lifts up to 50 lbs, and works safely in a team environment. Be proactive about safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment, with 1 year assembly experience preferred.
• Can read and follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and 3D models.
• Has strong mechanical aptitude and is comfortable working with steel parts, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves and shafts.
• Is physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, using motorized cranes, and performing repetitive movements safely.
• Pays strong attention to detail and produces high-quality, precise work.
• Punctual and reliable to follow scheduled shifts and safety policies.
• Enjoys working in a team environment and takes initiative to report issues or improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and 3D models.
• Inspect parts such as steel components, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts; make minor adjustments as needed.
• Locate and retrieve parts required for assembly.
• Move assemblies safely using motorized cranes or forklifts.
• Assemble components accurately following blueprints and 3D models.
• Document completed assemblies according to AKG and industry standards.
• Meet production quotas set by Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Build and maintain knowledge of parts and assembly procedures.
• Report issues to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all AKG policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
