Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Warehouse Department at the Salina, KS location. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Responsibilities include safe movement of parts, accurate part identification, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Requires forklift license or ability to obtain one; familiarity with AS400 is a plus. Team-oriented and able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player with ability to work in a team.
• Ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Experience using AS400 or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to read prints and use tape measures, calipers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear PPE as required.
