Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Forging Operator to join our Fort Worth manufacturing team. You will follow process sheets and blueprints, perform quality inspections on forged parts, and maintain machines and work areas in a clean, safe condition.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, basic math and blueprint reading, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints or process sheets.
• Strong math skills with measurement in inches and metric.
• Willingness to be trained and develop trade skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor instructions to complete production tasks accurately.
• Inspect forged parts for quality issues such as non-fill, trim burrs, punch marks, and mismatches.
• Meet production demands in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth workflow and timely task completion.
• Maintain machines and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe working condition.
• Inspect operations against set tolerances to verify the accuracy of work performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing required PPE throughout the shift.
• Assist other departments or areas as needed to ensure overall operational efficiency.
