Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor in New Jersey to lead daily manufacturing operations in a high‑volume food production environment.

This role oversees production personnel, coordinates staffing and materials, ensures quality and food safety compliance, and drives operational efficiency. Responsibilities include directing multiple lines, starting equipment, coaching hourly team members, and training on safety and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food processing, or consumer packaged goods environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, workplace safety, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily production activities across multiple manufacturing lines to ensure efficient, uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure production equipment and lines are prepared and operational at shift start.
• Execute production schedules while meeting established quality, yield, and productivity targets.
• Assign personnel to production areas based on business needs and operational priorities.
• Coordinate staffing adjustments to address attendance, scheduling, and production requirements.
• Provide coaching, direction, and performance feedback to hourly team members.
• Conduct employee training focused on safety, quality, food safety, and standard operating procedures.
