Job summary

Astronautics in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor for first-shift Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) operations. Direct and coordinate operators and technicians, perform manufacturing tasks when needed, and prioritize safety, quality, staffing, and production requirements. Lead staffing, prioritize production, monitor KPI metrics, and ensure WIP is balanced to meet schedules.

Reports to Senior Manager, Electronic Assembly and Support; shift runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Three or more years in electronic or electromechanical manufacturing.
Experience with SMT, inspection, testing and finishing operations.
Ability to prioritize production activities, allocate labor and manage WIP.
Ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions, specs and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day direction and performance feedback for operators and technicians in CCA operations.
Prioritize and assign work, manage material flow and maintain WIP levels to meet schedules.
Monitor production performance, schedule attainment, labor utilization and costs; adjust resources.
Identify bottlenecks and resolve production issues with cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, quality requirements and 5S.
Coordinate training and cross-training to build staffing flexibility.
