Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek, WI seeks a Production Assembler for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM-11:30 PM). You will perform mechanical and circuit card assembly, soldering, and harnessing per procedures and drawings, with training available on first shift. This role reports to the Manager of Electronic Assembly and Support.

The position emphasizes quality assembly, attention to detail, and the ability to read schematics and assembly instructions in a FAA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must have fine manual dexterity skills.
• Able to follow standard written work instructions and comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Able to successfully pass the Astronautics solder training program.
• Able to pass English comprehension test (FAA Repair Station requirements).
• Must be a U.S. person as defined under U.S. export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and/or mechanical assembly—assemble small components.
• Use small electrical hand tools and a soldering iron.
• Hand-solder components onto circuit cards.
• Perform wire harnessing.
• Utilize calipers, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools to assemble or disassemble assemblies.
• Utilize the arbor press, drill press, and other equipment for assembly and finishing work.
• Follow shop orders, engineering drawings, or production work instructions.
