Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a printer operator for the first shift to manage production runs and ensure high-quality output. You will operate various printers, set up jobs, and monitor quality while maintaining logs and coordinating supplies.

Responsibilities include running RIP files, adjusting positioning, and releasing jobs from the queue. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard set ups and operating characteristics of print equipment.
• Ability to set up, operate and adjust equipment per job requirements.
• Routine adjustments and operation as required by production needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate inkjet, laser, xerographic or offset printers and RIP files for printing.
• Maintain daily print production logs and delivery manifests.
• Set up, program and release jobs from the print queue.
• Position is first shift and may adjust image position, perforations and folds.
• Monitor output quality and image integrity.
• Order supplies such as ink, chemicals, blankets, rollers, paper and tabs.
