Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in St. Charles, IL, is seeking a skilled print production operator for the C Shift (Sun, Mon, Tues, 6PM–6AM). You will operate inkjet, laser, xerographic or offset printers, RIP files, and prepare jobs for printing while maintaining daily production logs and manifests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard print setups, adjustments and equipment operation.
• Ability to set up, operate and adjust equipment to job requirements.
• Routine adjustments are commonly required at this level.

Responsibilities

• Operate inkjet, laser, xerographic or offset printers; RIP files or review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing.
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
• Setup, program and release jobs from print queue.
• Adjust image position, perforations and folds on paper as needed.
• Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
• Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs and other items.
• Share expertise and help train other employees as assigned.
