Job summary

HM Electronics Inc in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain a clean and safe working environment on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 2:00pm. You will perform general housecleaning, restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and light maintenance tasks.

This role requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, experience with floor care, and basic reading and math skills. The position offers steady hours and a respectful team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and safe use of all cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Experience with floor care machines, striping and waxing.
• Average mechanical aptitude; basic reading, writing and math skills; 3+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housecleaning duties in accordance with the approved schedule.
• Clean, disinfect, and resupply restrooms.
• Remove litter and dispose of waste in proper dumpsters.
• Vacuum carpets and perform high/low dusting.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors; wet mop tile floors and spot-clean as needed.
• Assist with storage, and secure supply rooms.
• Assist with light maintenance and replacement of bulbs as assigned.
• Keep track of ladders, vacuums and other equipment.
