Qualifications

• Entry-level machining experience or formal training (technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent).
• Ability to learn and apply Vermeer Machining Training Program.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T; select tooling and load programs to meet tolerance requirements; make basic edits.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers (3–4 axis) to manufacture parts to tight tolerances.
• Read drawings, GD&T, select tooling, and load programs; edit as directed.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify part quality and document results.
• Safely load/unload materials and operate overhead/jib cranes per EHS and PPE procedures.
• Apply shop math to support accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement.
• Meet rate targets with minimal scrap; perform TPM and support 5S/CI initiatives.
