Qualifications

• Entry-level machining experience or formal training preferred.
• Able to complete Vermeer Machining Training Program.
• Learn to verify part quality with micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; select tooling and load programs.
• Commit to safety, TPM, EHS, LOTO and PPE procedures.
• Apply shop math for accuracy and process optimization.
• Support 5S and CI/kaizen and protect uptime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and related equipment to manufacture parts.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; select tooling and load programs to meet tolerances.
• Edit simple control programs and update tool/work offsets.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify part quality.
• Safely handle materials and operate cranes per EHS/LOTO/PPE.
• Apply shop math to support accuracy and throughput.
• Aim for rate targets, perform TPM, and support 5S/CI initiatives.
