Job summary

CNC Manufacturing is seeking a qualified CNC Lathe Setup Operator for our Conventional Lathe Department. This first-shift position offers the chance to work with dual-spindle, twin-turret lathes and live tooling in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include tooling prep, program upload/download, proving out and adjusting codes, creating setup sheets, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist.

Qualifications

2-5 years CNC experience as a machine operator.
Ability to install and teach cutting tools.
Understand and set work offsets and transfer positions.
Finish bringing any part into tolerance after setup is complete.
Understand and edit G-code, M-code & programming experience.
Basic understanding of GD&T.
Ability to qualify part to blueprint.

Responsibilities

Pull all necessary tooling for each job.
Upload and Download programs.
Prove out jobs with the ability to change/adjust the program.
Create and update setup sheets.
Identify, prepare, and load raw materials and work holding.
Use of inspection equipment including RAM, Comparator, and CMM.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area complying with Safety and ISO standards.
Other duties as required.
