Job summary

Calyx Living is seeking energetic 1st Shift Care Staff for our assisted living community in North Durham, near the Eno River and close to Duke University and downtown Durham. You will support residents with personal care, hygiene, meals, and safety, while documenting vital signs and incidents.

Ideal candidates have caregiver experience, compassion for seniors, strong communication, and reliability. Weekend availability is required and you must be 18+ to apply.

• Compassion and a desire to work with seniors
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
• Strong sense of maturity
• Ability to adapt to each resident and setting
• Trustworthy and attentive
• 18 years or older
• Must be available to work weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs and monitor self-administration of medications
• Maintain resident hygiene, record vital signs, and ensure safety
• Complete incident reports and assist with meal services
• Observe residents for changes in condition and communicate with the care team
