Job summary

Calyx Living is seeking energetic 1st Shift Care Staff for our brand-new assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex, located in Apex, NC. You will assist residents with personal care, monitor medications, and help maintain daily routines in a compassionate setting.

Ideal candidates will have caregiver experience, a genuine desire to work with seniors, and strong communication skills with residents and families. Weekend availability is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Caregiver experience strongly preferred.
• Must have compassion and a desire to work with seniors.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Ability to adapt to each resident and setting.
• Reliable, responsive and attentive.
• 18 years or older with a demonstrated maturity.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Monitor self-administration of medication.
• Ensure resident hygiene and safety.
• Maintain and record residents' vital signs.
• Complete incident reports and observe for changes in condition.
• Assist with meal services and observing residents during meals.
