Job summary

Johnson Controls in San Antonio is seeking a 1st Shift Brazer to support fit up, fabrication, and brazing in a manufacturing setting. You will prepare materials, clamp parts in fixtures, set up the torch, apply filler rod, and produce strong leak-free joints per blueprints and safety standards.

The role requires reading production drawings/AutoCAD, operating metalworking equipment, and following ODS. 5S and Kaizen participation is expected alongside teamwork and precise execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or certifications required.
• Experience with brazing and metalworking equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform fit up, fabricate, and braze per models and procedures.
• Position parts, set up brazing torch, adjust gas mixture and pressure.
• Inspect braze joints for leaks and quality; document outcomes.
• Operate metalworking machinery and read AutoCAD drawings.
• Maintain 5S practices and participate in Kaizen events.
