Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated First Party Coverage Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a hybrid, full-time, permanent position located in Seattle, WA. Ideal candidates will possess solid experience in first-party property, bad faith, and insurance coverage litigation, demonstrating excellent legal research, writing, and case management skills. The firm is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and development, offering a robust platform for career advancement and mentorship.

Duties:

  1. Handle first-party property and bad-faith insurance coverage litigation.
  2. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and other legal documents.
  3. Manage and coordinate cases from inception to resolution.
  4. Take and defend depositions, conduct legal research, and prepare for hearings.
  5. Represent clients in court, including making appearances and handling trials.
  6. Engage in client communications and provide strategic legal counsel.
  7. Assist in the development of business strategies, including client relationships and business development initiatives.
  8. Collaborate with team members across offices to ensure a high standard of service.

Requirements:

  1. Admission to practice law in Washington State.
  2. Additional Bar admissions in other states are a plus.
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in first-party coverage and bad-faith litigation.
  4. Strong academic background and excellent writing abilities.
  5. Proven experience in managing litigation in both state and federal courts.
  6. Ability to handle complex cases with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Washington State Bar is required. Additional Bar admissions are a plus.
