A top-ranked U.S. law firm is seeking a Conflicts Staff Attorney to join its team. (4709) This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional interested in law firm risk management and conflicts analysis. The position offers flexibility, including a fully remote option for candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
This role plays a critical part in the firm’s client intake and risk management functions, helping ensure compliance with professional conduct rules and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze conflicts database searches for new and existing client matters, flagging potential issues for attorney review
• Assist intake attorneys in evaluating and clearing potential conflicts
• Support the drafting of conflict waivers when appropriate under the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Help lead training sessions and update internal materials on conflicts and client intake
• Conduct special searches related to lateral hires, mergers, or other firm initiatives
• Contribute to firm-wide projects focused on intake best practices and risk management
• Provide administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications:

• J.D. and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Solid understanding of conflict of interest rules and ethical obligations under the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Prior experience in conflicts analysis, especially in a large law firm setting, is highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and foster trust with attorneys and staff
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer service mindset with the ability to handle time-sensitive inquiries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Elite Records Management System is a plus
