Job summary

Kalitta Air seeks qualified pilots to join a high-performance crew. You will assist the Captain, conduct preflight checks, verify paperwork and weight/balance, and uphold disciplined CRM and FAR compliance. A strong safety focus and clear communications are essential.

Requirements include ATP (Unrestricted) with Multi-Engine, current FAA First Class Medical, FCC Radio License, and a valid US passport. Experience and background checks are outlined in policy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete post-flight inspections and documentation.

Job description

The Mission

Support safe, efficient long-haul cargo operations worldwide. You’ll fly as a key member of a high-performance crew, applying disciplined CRM, strict adherence to FARs, and Kalitta Air procedures while delivering reliable on-time airlift.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist the Captain in all phases of flight with precise compliance to company policies, FARs, and international procedures.
  • Execute thorough preflight inspections of the aircraft and freight; verify performance, weight & balance, and operational paperwork.
  • Employ effective CRM to promote shared situational awareness and decisive, safety-first decision-making.
  • Identify and communicate any unsafe conditions on the ground or in flight; take corrective action per SOPs.
  • Complete post-flight inspections and ensure accurate documentation.
What You Bring
  • License required: ATP (Unrestricted) with Multi-Engine rating
  • Current FAA First Class Medical
  • Current FCC Radio License
  • Current U.S. passport; no restrictions on international travel
  • Minimum flight time: 1,700 hours total time and 700 hours multi-engine
  • Preferred: 2,000+ hours total time and 500+ hours turbine (jet)
  • Able to pass a 10-year security background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
