M&T Bank is seeking an experienced risk management professional to implement defined first line of defense initiatives within the business unit, coordinating with risk and control functions, and serving as SME for risk execution. The role leads complex, high-visibility risk projects and drives remediation and reporting across the enterprise risk framework.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in risk identification, risk mitigation, risk and control self-assessment, or related disciplines
• Experience in understanding Corporate Services (Third Party Risk Management, Corporate Real Estate, and the like) and the Compliance and Operational risks associated therein is helpful

Responsabilidades

• Execute risk initiatives led by the role or the team and document key business processes thoroughly
• Participate in planning, execution and reporting of the risk-based testing program; perform control testing per guidance and standards
• Review testing results, identify issues, and perform scripted testing or system admin duties in Archer
• Monitor KRIs and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk controls
• Complete Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and other risk reports; assist in escalation of risk events
• Identify emerging risks and remediation needs; help develop and track remediation plans
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and respond to internal/external requests regarding processes
