Job Role: First Line Leader

The First Line Leader is responsible for ensuring the achievement of operational plans within predefined procedures, methods, and delegated authority, focusing at least 70% of their time on production lines, developing team skills, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage performance of the area, identify main issues, and apply appropriate resolution methods.
• Resolve real-time problems using GSK's problem-solving process, involving relevant personnel and functions.
• Manage and guide team members during shifts to meet objectives, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Develop team capabilities to meet targets and promote continuous improvement.
• Participate in resource review processes, including personnel, equipment, and materials, and lead onboarding of new employees.
• Build effective relationships with other functions (QA, Engineering, Logistics) for timely problem resolution.
• Model GSK values, GMP standards, Data Integrity, and policies on Environment and Safety.
• Follow escalation procedures, understand responsibilities, and make decisions within scope.
• Utilize information systems such as SAP, Workday, GERIP WEB, ePel, etc.
• Implement Leader Standard Work and ensure team adherence to GPS standards.
• Participate in inspections, audits, and self-inspections of machines, lines, and processes as required.

Direct reports: approximately 6-20

Qualifications & Skills:

• Technical/scientific degree
• Experience in a similar role managing production personnel performance
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in IT systems
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to work shifts (6/14-14/22-16-24 and 9-17) and 7/7 with compensatory rest
