Job summary

Aggie Brothers Employees, LLC seeks a dedicated Accounting Operations Specialist to own day-to-day financials across multiple entities. You’ll lead payroll, A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and monthly closes while shaping internal processes as the first in-house accountant.

Collaborating with leadership, you’ll deliver precise financials, drive improvements, and uphold discretion and integrity with sensitive information as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting required.
• Strong payroll processing and payroll accounting experience required.
• Experience with client account management, recurring billing, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership and outside professionals.
• High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities across multiple business entities with proper separation.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and GL activity.
• Manage and process payroll, including reconciliations, deductions, taxes, and reporting.
• Lead the monthly close process and ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and analysis.
• Reconcile company credit card accounts with coding, receipts, and monthly reconciliations.
• Oversee client account accounting, maintain transactions, balances, notices, and records.
• Monitor accounts receivable, outstanding balances, recurring revenue, and collections.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and maintain entity-level accounting.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and balances.
• Coordinate with outside CPAs, tax professionals, benefits providers, and other partners.
• Assist with year-end close, tax preparation, audits, and financial reporting.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and records.
• Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Ensure payroll and accounting practices comply with laws and policies.
• Provide leadership with timely, accurate financial information for decisions.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll, compensation, client, and company data.
