Job summary

Confido, the AI infrastructure powering modern CPG brands, is hiring its first Engineering Manager in New York City. You will lead a team of 6–10 engineers, shape career ladders, and partner with the CTO to design scalable org practices as we grow from 20 to 50+ engineers.

You'll stay close to the code in Rails, TypeScript/React, and Python systems, mentoring engineers, owning delivery of the team roadmap, and building a high-trust, lightweight process culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing software engineers directly.
• 5+ years as hands-on engineer in software.
• Experience scaling in an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 6–10 engineers; conduct 1:1s and career development.
• Own delivery for the team's roadmap: planning, prioritization and unblockings.
• Partner with the CTO on org design, ladders and leadership practices as we scale.
