Job summary

Rodriguez Law Firm, PLLC in Tysons, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our in-person team. The candidate must have real courtroom experience and can independently handle plaintiff or defense PI cases from filing through trial.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ first-chair jury trials to verdict, current VA or MD licensure, and a plan to obtain VA, MD, and DC licenses within a year. Strong deposition, discovery, and trial skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 first-chair jury trials to verdict in personal injury cases (plaintiff or defense).
• Licensed and in good standing in Virginia or Maryland.
• Must become licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. within one year of joining.
• Significant personal injury litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage cases from filing through trial.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases in litigation from filing through resolution or trial.
• Develop litigation strategy, take and defend depositions, handle discovery and motions.
• Work with medical and other expert witnesses, conduct mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare cases for trial, and serve as first-chair trial counsel.
• Willingness to take cases to a jury when value is not offered.
