Orion Placement in Tysons, VA is seeking a seasoned trial attorney to lead personal injury litigation from development through verdict. You will serve as first chair in jury trials and manage courtroom proceedings.

The role requires a J.D., an active Virginia bar license, and at least 3 first-chair jury trials through verdict. You will develop case strategy, oversee depositions, discovery, and trial prep, and collaborate with a close-knit team.

Qualifications

• J.D. required.
• Active Virginia bar license required.
• 3+ first-chair jury trials taken through verdict required.
• Strong personal injury litigation experience.
• Demonstrated courtroom, trial, negotiation, and case-management skills.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, communication, and advocacy abilities.
• Ability to take ownership of complex litigation matters and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Lead personal injury litigation matters from development through trial and verdict.
• Serve as first chair in jury trials and manage courtroom proceedings.
• Develop case strategy, litigation plans, and compelling arguments for strong client outcomes.
• Conduct and oversee depositions, discovery, motion practice, hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Analyze medical records, evidence, expert testimony, and complex case materials.
• Advocate for clients throughout the litigation process and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and others to build effective cases.
• Identify opportunities to expand the firm’s presence into additional jurisdictions.
