Job summary

Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a 1st Assistant Golf Professional to support day-to-day golf operations and elevate the member and guest experience. You will oversee golf operations with the Director of Golf, manage pace of play, and contribute to tournament operations while mentoring staff.

The role requires PGA membership or active apprenticeship, 2 years of college, and at least 5 years in golf operations, paired with excellent communication and customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• PGA Member or PGA Apprentice in good standing.
• 2 years of college or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of golf operations experience.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Customer service focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the golf operation in conjunction with the Director of Golf.
• Track and verify players and guests, golf cars, lockers, and related charges; ensure proper controls.
• Monitor the reservation system and pace of play.
• Develop, manage and oversee tournament operations.
• Assist in merchandise purchasing and receiving.
• Assist in training, supervising and motivating the golf operations staff to meet facility objectives.
